My Story

My love of jewellery was planted back in 2000, when I landed my first real job while I was still in high school. I spent five amazing years in my small hometown learning all things shiny including selling, engraving, designing, and doing small jewellery and watch repairs. I quickly fell in love with the creativity and craftsmanship behind jewellery, and little did I know, those years would set me on the path I’m still on today.After graduating with a BFA in Jewellery + Metals in 2010, TMD Jewellery was born. It gave me the opportunity to embrace my creativity as an artist while continuing to grow my skills as a designer and maker. I’ve been lucky enough to turn something I love into a career I genuinely enjoy.Every piece I create is made by me in my Red Deer studio, from shaping and forming the metal to adding the finishing details. I love working with texture, organic shapes, and the little variations that make handmade jewellery special. When I work with natural stones, I hand-pick each one with the design in mind. I love the natural variations in colour, shape, and character, and finding the right stone to bring a piece together is part of the creative process.For me, jewellery is about more than just something pretty to wear. I love creating pieces that feel personal, a little different, and made to be enjoyed for years to come.
